super birthday

So being Tuesday it is time for another TTCRD anything goes challenge.

This week our sponsor is Dr Digi's House of Stamps. The prize is 2 digis from the shop.

I chose to work with Comic sentiments. I chose this sentiment as I wanted to try this technique I had watched on Hochanda. I coloured in spectrum noir illustrator pens and then glazed over with Sakura gel pens. For the background, I just used 5 different shades of blue and used dots from the sentiment out. I went further out with the lighter ones and kept the darker ones in the centre.
So now it is over to you. See you on the other side, Theresa xx.

This is the latest card that I had as inspiration for the TTCRD anything goes challenge. It was for last Tuesday but I have become so disorganised that I never post anything on time.

Anyway the image is from Polkadoodles and he is called Rocco. I thought he looked sweet and would make a good boy's card for the several party invites that my little one gets.
He is coloured in with spectrum noir illustrator pens as is the background. For the clouds, I used the blender pen to remove colour.
So go take a look at the magazine. it is full of inspiration, step by step tutorials and also a video tutorial. Theresa xx

30 today

Hello my friends. you must be wondering what happened to me. I have been here but haven't had time to update my blog. Today I have a quick post for you to remind you that it is time for another TTCRD anything goes challenge.

This week our sponsor is My Favorite Things with a $25.00 store voucher

We could use whatever we wanted for this challenge. So I started with a piece of Sheena stamping card and I inked it with distress oxides: evergreen bough, peacock feathers, mermaid lagoon and salty ocean. I then flicked water over it and dried it with kitchen roll after a few seconds.
The rest are die cuts. The butterfly flourish is a sizzix die, the 30 and today are Tim Holtz thinlet dies and the 'celebrate' is a Crafter's companion die. The card is white Centura pearl and the shadow is in a navy blue card.
So that was a quick card to make but looks very effective.

So now it is over to you to come and join us and remember that the theme is always anything goes. See you on the other side, Theresa xx

coffee

Hello my friends. It is time for another TTCRD anything goes challenge. This week we are talking about a topic that I am passionate about... it is coffee :). We are being sponsored by Drawn by Krista. It is the first time I have used anything by this artist and she does have some quirky stuff in her shop and so well worth a visit.

I chose to work with the saying called Coffee lovers saying.

It was an opportunity to get out my bigz die by Tim Holtz and make a coffee cup. I used white card inked with distress inks to add depth and corrugated card by DCWV. I printed the saying on white card in brown. The brown mats are from a card called roasted coffee which I thought was quite apt.
All in all, it is a simple card but I thought it showcased the sentiment better.
So now it is over to you. See you on the other side, Theresa xx

Honey bee

Hello crafty friends. It's been a while since my last post. I seem to be losing my ways at the moment.
It is time for another TTCRD anything goes challenge. Our sponsor this week is the talented Jeremiah Ketner.
The prize of 3 colouring pages plus 20 percent off any purchase in store.

I chose to work with an image called Honey bee which you can find here.

This is the second image from this range that I have worked with and once again I must say that I really enjoyed colouring it in. I again went with my trusted Faber Castell polychromos pencils.

I also used clear sparkle pen on the bee's wings and liquid pearls on the bubbles. I tried to keep it simple so the image stands out. The coloured card is from the Centura pearl range.

So now it is over to you. see you on the other side, Theresa xx.

Summer days

Hello fellow crafters. Welcome to my first post of 2018. It is time for the TTCRD weekly anything goes challenge.

This week our sponsor is Small and round by Jeremiah Ketner. For a prize, he will award 3 colouring pages and a one time 20% discount on his site.
I chose to work with the image called Summer days.

I coloured her in using my Faber Castell polychromos pencils. I then added stickles glue for some added sparkle.
The music dies are by tonic and the sentiment is a generic die I got some time ago with a magazine.
The base card is a metallic Centura pearl by Crafter's Companion. I chose the music background as my son is using this card for a friend of his who is into music. I also felt that they complimented the floatiness of the image. So I hope you visit the shop and join us over at TTCRD.
See you on the other side, Hugs Theresa xx.
