gear tag - digistamps 4 joy

Hello my friends. Time is going so fast. It is time for another TTCRD anything goes challenge.

This week our sponsor is Digi Stamps 4 Joy and they are offering a $10 voucher to the lucky winner.

I chose to work with an image called Gear Tag as I wanted to make a male card.

You can see the card I came up with. It is a very mixed media type of card. I used so many different things from my stash on it

So I hope you like my effort. For further inspiration please go to main blog to see all the lovely projects by my team mates.

Just a reminder that all the details about my card will be on the next edition of the TTCRD on-line magazine.

So now it is over to you. See you on the other side, Theresa xx

colourwheel

Hello there. When I was looking at some challenge blogs, I found this one over the Less is More blog.
They are celebrating their 6th birthday and they will be celebrating it for the whole month.

The current challenge is to use 3 adjacent colours of the colour wheel. I made 3 shaker cards that I thought would fit the bill as the backgrounds were made with different shades of distress inks. The first uses blues, then orange and yellow and the last red, orange and yellow.

I tried to use seed beads that reflected the same colours as far as possible. The dies are by Sue Wilson, apart from the numbers that are from a Tim Holtz sizzix set.

I also thought that the design was very CAS and so it would be eligible for the LIM challenge. I'll wait and see.

I would like to enter these cards in the following challenges:

Less is more - use 3 adjacent colours
Country View challenges - under 30 mins
QKR Stampede - anything goes with a twist (not using Twist)

Afternoon snack and a day for daisies

Well, hello there. I'm late with this post again, not realising this week it was again my team's turn.
Anyway, finally, I got it. It is time for another anything goes challenge at Through the Craft Room Door.

Our sponsor this week is a Day for Daisies. She is offering a $12 voucher to her store.

A Day For Daisies provides themed categories of over 3000 digital illustrations and a fast growing line of new clear polymer stamp sets, including fairy tales and magical mermaids, cutie kids, vintage illustrations, sentiments and lovely designs for all occasions!

I chose to work with a beautiful image called Afternoon snack. I really had fun colouring this image in and used my polychromos pencils. For more details, you will have to go to the next issue of the TTCRD magazine.

So now it is over to you. See you on the other side, Theresa xx.

Fussy and Fancy...

Hello my friends. Yes the Fussy and Fancy challenge is back! Yay!!! And it is time for the first theme of the year and befittingly it is ... Fussy and Fancy!

This is a commissioned card that I was asked to make for a colleague's daughter's wedding. It was crafted with the colour scheme of the wedding.

I used centura pearl card and blue pearlized card to build the main features. For the background, I used a trellis by Spellbinders and a window by Heartfelt creations. The flowers are asters by heartfelt creations and the foliage is by Sue Wilson.

The stamps I used are from Claritystamp. The sentiment was stamped in cobalt blue archival ink and clear embossed. The calla lilies are stamped in versamark ink and dusted over with perfect pearls.

I assembled the card as shown adding ribbon and twine and pearls. Once I finished it I decided to make a box for it as it would make it more precious.

I made an opening in the lid and used the same trellis to embellish it. And voila', one card ready. So now it is up to you to join us with your makes, Theresa xx.
